Our Story
While The Bee Room is waiting for its home on the SHIMER SQUARE campus here in Mount Carroll in 2026, we are dedicated to ensuring our vision and model come to fruition. Follow our website during this year of change and growth. We can't wait to sit in 2027 for a cuppa and a good puzzle!

Our mission is to provide a unique and welcoming space where people can connect and enjoy quality food and beverages while supporting local businesses and charitable causes.
Our History
Founded with a vision to create a vibrant community space, The Bee Room started as a small eatery with a big heart. Over time, it grew to be known for our commitment to local sourcing, community, and giving back to the community. Every step of our journey has been driven by the desire to exceed expectations and foster meaningful connections within Mount Carroll, Illinois and tourists who come to enjoy this beautiful Victorian village in the Driftless.
